Penrhyn is set against dramatic views of the mountains of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. Surrounded by pleasure grounds and woodland, the garden contains many fine examples of native and exotic trees, vast drifts of snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, and varied wildflower areas. The formal and secluded walled garden, dating from the Victorian era, contains terraces of parterre design, are below Gardenesque' areas of trees and shrubs. The whole site is planted with diverse exotic species offering all-year-round interest.
